This is a private condominium, with multiple other residential units. There are no shared amenities for the building, only shared common areas that include the lobby and the stairwells. Our enchanting historic building was also constructed in the 1920’s and has many original features—with that, it lacks some of the insulation that we are used to today. This means that you may hear neighbors above or beside you occasionally. You might also hear cars drive by outside. To reduce any noises for lighter sleepers, we have an industrial fan and also provide ear plugs/eye masks during your stay.

Our top Vacation rental tips:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Elizabeth City. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Elizabeth City restaurants and activities.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Elizabeth City area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Elizabeth City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book the bestvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Historic Condo in the Heart of Downtown Elizabeth City has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Elizabeth City vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Elizabeth City destination you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
